Global Pet Expo is happening March 21-23, 2018 in Orlando, Florida.


In addition to the many exclusive member benefits you receive as an APPA member, you also have access to Global Pet Expo, the Premier Industry Event. If you’ve never attended the Show, here are a few incredible facts about last year’s event: 

The thirteenth annual Global Pet Expo featured 343,700 net square feet of exhibit space, nearly 24,000 feet larger than 2016 to accommodate the growing number of exhibiting companies. That’s a lot of space to cover in three days – bring your walkin’ shoes!

Attendance at the premier industry event included 6,761 qualified buyers from 79 different countries – making Global Pet Expo a key trading opportunity for companies around the world. There were also 1,130 exhibiting companies, including 270 first-time exhibitors, covering more than 3,437 booths, giving buyers thousands of new products and trends to choose from!

The 2017 Show also marked the debut of country-specific pavilions. Previously, multiple countries exhibited together in one space on the Show Floor, but the new international model allowed participating country delegations dedicated space throughout the exhibit floor.

Global Pet Expo is the pet industry’s largest annual trade show.  The 2018 Show will be bigger and better than ever and will have everything you need all under one roof, so make your plans to attend today!

Planning Ahead: Global Pet Expo 2016

Although you do have a bit of time, it’s never too early to start planning to exhibit at the pet industry’s largest annual trade show. In fact, our 2016 Exhibitor Floor Plan is live on the website and the Booth Application is available online, so now is the perfect time to brush up on planning tips and make sure your Show experience is the best one yet!

Because we know planning for the Show can be overwhelming, we’ve prepared some tips to help you get a few things out of the way:

  1. Review the Floor Plan and reserve your booth space

Securing your booth space is the first step toward a successful experience at Global Pet Expo and there is a reason we release it early. Plan ahead and secure your booth space now before we sell out!

  1. Assess booth space materials to determine 2016 needs

If you are a returning exhibitor, you probably have an idea of what your booth will look like. If you are a new exhibitor or you have new products or signage you want to display, it’s important to think about what you will want in your booth and what you will need to execute it well.

  1. Plan for Show marketing and promotion

Marketing materials take time to design and produce. Set aside time with your team to discuss what you will want at the Show, whether it is brochures, postcards, flyers or other materials. Brainstorm ideas for press kits in the press office. Think about budgeting for advertisements in the pet industry trades and note the dates that artwork will be due. Also, look into budgeting for the many great show sponsorship opportunities.

  1. Review the Show Rules

Make sure you are up to speed on things like official show dress code, age requirements, photography and more, which can all be found in the Show Rules.

  1. Decide what you will highlight at the Show

It’s always helpful to have something new, but it’s important to make sure it is the right product and it is done well. Think about packaging, images and presentation to ensure it is put together well enough to show buyers from some of the top retailers in the industry.
